Star Story!

Our Star Story today is from our acting Worthy Patron, George Cronin!

I’m retired and enjoy working with wood. I make gavels, sounding blocks and many other items. I love working on old guns and rifles and researching their history. I have a collection of Bonsai trees that I enjoy tending.

I am a Past Master Councilor, Order of DeMolay. I worked for many years as a Board Member, Chapter Dad and Ritual Advisor. I am a Past Master - 1994, Masons, a Past Patron – 10 times, Easter Star and a Former Grand Representative of Virginia. My Mother was Conductress when I was initiated in 1977 along with my wife Melissa. My folks were active in the Lodge and Star activities as well as White Shrine so I grew up in a Masonic family.

My favorite Star memory so far was when I was the Grand Page (twice) for Roger Nieder when he was Associate Grand Patron and then when he was Grand Patron. Being on the Grand Chapter floor and serving with this great Brother was quite an honor.
